Antar
A Vedic astrologer in your browser.
Antar is a Vedic astrology app. It computes your birth chart from your date, time and place of birth, explains what the tradition associates with it in plain language, and lets you talk it through out loud or by typing. It remembers what you told it last time, so you are not starting again every visit.
There's nothing to install for the web version. It works on your phone and your laptop, and your chart and conversations are the same wherever you sign in. Your first three minutes of conversation are free.
The space between where you are and what you decide: अंतर, antar, is that gap.
What it is
Your real chart, not a horoscope for a twelfth of the world.
Every position Antar uses is computed from the Swiss Ephemeris with the Lahiri ayanamsa, the same arithmetic a working astrologer does by hand, done to the arcminute. The chart is never guessed or made up by AI. Antar's answers are written by AI, which puts what the calculation found into plain words; it never supplies a planet's position or a date of its own. With the plan you get all of it: the birth chart, all sixteen divisional charts, your Vimshottari dasha periods, and where the planets are moving now.
It remembers
You should not have to re-explain your life every time. Antar keeps what matters, like the job you are weighing or the move you are considering, and you can read and delete every single thing it has remembered.
You can talk to it
Consultation is a spoken thing. Speak in English or Hindi and it answers out loud, or type instead when you would rather not talk.
Plain language
What today, this week and this month look like, in ordinary English: what to do, what to avoid, and your best days. The astrological reasoning is one tap away if you want it.
Your data
What Antar asks for, and why.
You sign in with your phone number, your email address, or your Google or Apple account. When you use Google or Apple sign-in, Antar receives your name and email address, and uses them for one purpose: creating and securing your account.
Your date, time and place of birth are used for exactly one thing, computing your birth chart. What you say in a consultation is kept so that guidance can build over time, and you can read and delete every remembered fact, or delete your entire account, from inside the app. Nothing is sold. On this website and the web app, Google Analytics counts visits and tells us which ads bring people here, and you can say no to it; it never receives anything you tell Antar.

What it won't do
The things we designed out on purpose.
The most common complaint about astrology apps is not that the astrology is wrong. It is that they frighten you and then sell you the cure. That business model is absent here, by construction:
No paid remedies
No gemstones, no yantras, no pujas, ever. The remedies Antar offers are mantra, charity and fasting, the traditional ones, and none of them cost anything.
No doom
No predictions of death, terminal illness or guaranteed catastrophe. Difficult periods are described as what they are and what to do about them.
No meter running
Nothing is charged per question and there are no credits to buy, so there is no reason to stretch a conversation. One monthly price, with the voice allowance stated as a number.
And we will say this plainly: Vedic astrology is a traditional system of reflection, not an empirically proven science. Antar is useful as a lens for thinking, and we would rather tell you that up front than let you find out later.
Price
Three minutes free. Then one plan.
To start
Free / onceYour week, read from your chart, before you even sign in. Then three minutes of conversation, spoken or typed, so you can judge Antar for yourself. No card needed.
Antar
$12.99 / monthAn hour of talking each month and as much typing as you like. Your day, week and month, every day, all sixteen charts, and everything Antar remembers. ₹499 a month in India. Cancel any time.
We state the voice allowance as a number rather than calling it unlimited and quietly throttling you.
If you are in crisis, please talk to a person. Astrology is not the right help, and Antar will say so too. In India: AASRA 9820466726, iCall 9152987821, Vandrevala 9999666555. Elsewhere, find your local line at findahelpline.com.
