Common things

The sign-in code hasn't arrived

The code is six digits and takes up to a minute. If you signed in with your phone number, check the number you typed has the right country code. If you used email, check the spam folder first — that is where it usually is. If it still hasn't come, request a new one; the old code stops working as soon as you do. You can also sign in with Google or Apple instead.

I don't know my exact birth time

You are not alone, and it matters more than people expect: a few minutes can move the ascendant into the next sign and change a lot of the reading. Antar asks how sure you are and treats an approximate time differently from an exact one, so answer that question honestly rather than guessing precisely. A birth certificate or hospital record is the best source; a parent's memory of "around dawn" is still worth entering as approximate.

My chart looks wrong

Check the birthplace first — most mismatches come from the wrong city being picked, which shifts the timezone and therefore everything else. If the place and time are right and it still looks wrong, write to us with your details and we will check the calculation ourselves. Antar uses the Lahiri ayanamsa with whole-sign houses; if you have been reading a chart built on a different ayanamsa or house system, the positions will legitimately differ.

Voice isn't working

Antar needs microphone permission, which iOS and Android ask for the first time you start a spoken consultation. If you declined it, turn it back on in your phone's settings under Antar. Voice also needs a steady connection — on a weak network, use text instead, which is unlimited on every tier.

What am I paying for?

Everything except talking is free forever: your chart, all sixteen divisional charts, your daily, weekly and monthly reading, remedies and your memory thread. The subscription adds unlimited written conversation and five hours of spoken conversation a month. There are no credits and nothing is charged per question. See the terms for the detail.

Cancelling

Cancel in the App Store or Play Store — Apple and Google handle the billing, so cancellation lives there. You keep everything you paid for until the end of the period, and your chart and memory stay with you afterwards on the free tier.

Deleting your account

Do it in the app: You → Account → Delete my account. Everything goes — chart, conversations, memory and friend matches. If you would rather we did it, write to privacy@tryantar.com from the address or number on your account and we will erase it within 30 days. If you only want to remove particular things Antar remembers, you can do that under You → Memory without deleting anything else, and you can switch contact matching off under You → Contacts.
